Register for the 1st Hong Kong eSports Tournament

Hosted by Hong Kong eSports Limited, the 1st Hong Kong eSports Tournament is set to begin on Friday, July 26, and will be the largest eSports event to date in Hong Kong history.

The StarCraft II portion of the tournament kicks off with seven regional qualifier events; one for each of the following regions: China, Europe, Hong Kong, Korea, North America, South-East Asia, and Taiwan. Qualifiers will be held across 12 days of online competition from July 26 – August 17, and exact dates can be found here.

In addition to the regional qualifiers, one player will receive a wild card slot, which is decided by community voting. Stop by the official Hong Kong eSports Facebook page to vote for your favorite player, and be sure to come back each day to vote again before the wild card recipient is announced Son Saturday, August 3.

Qualifier competition is sure to be fierce, as just one player from each region will earn a seat at the offline finals, which will be held live on Saturday, August 31 at the Kowloon Bay International Trade and Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong, China. Qualified players will be flown to Hong Kong to compete for their share in the 100,000 HKD (~13,000 USD) prize pool, as well as other prizes. Matches from the qualifiers and main event will be streamed on Twitch, and commentated by a lineup of professional shoutcasters to be announced at a later date. VODs will also be available after the event for those of you who miss the live broadcast.

If you’d like to compete in the qualifiers, sign-ups are open to all players and registration is free. Be sure to fill out an application at HKeSports.com before the sign-up deadline passes on Wednesday, July 24.
