Allegiance Operatives impatient with Coalition progress have splintered off and formed the Shadow Company, and they’re playing by their own set of rules. Developer Infinity Ward introduces a stacked Season Five update with four new Multiplayer maps and several major Warzone changes.

Here’s what players can expect this Season:

Warzone Content: Verdansk Expands

The Stadium Opens Up
Rethink your drop plans. The Stadium is now open featuring the pitch, seating, and other new areas to explore.

Grab a Ticket at Train Station
Dropping in near Promenade? The Train Station has expanded with additional interior spaces creating new close-quarters combat possibilities.

Freight Train Coming Through
Rolling in a large loop around southwestern Verdansk, the freight train offers a new means of travel and a uniquely mobile way to battle in Warzone.

2 Tips for the Warzone Map Update

Open-Air Stadium. Be mindful of swooping helicopters and air-to-ground attacks when fighting on the pitch and in the stands.
Combat at the Station. Be ready for a fight in the multi-level concourse at the Train Station. Use your Equipment to attack, scout, or disorient enemy players.

New Multiplayer Content: Free Maps, Modes, and More

Four Multiplayer Maps
Season Five introduces four new Multiplayer maps and new ways to play, free for owners of the full version of Modern Warfare.

Verdansk International Airport – Ground War
This Ground War map challenges Multiplayer Operators to capture points in and around the airport. Bolster your attack with tanks and APCs.

Livestock – Gunfight
Flanking routes weave around a central barn in this close-quarters Gunfight map.

Petrov Oil Rig – Multiplayer
Prepare for large 6v6 gun battles aboard a sprawling oil rig in the frigid ocean waters.

Suldal Harbor – Multiplayer
Battle on the harbor in this medium-sized 6v6 Multiplayer map where you’ll weave between fish markets and administrative offices. Before you and the other Operators dock, read our pro-tip for Suldal Harbor:

Check Those Corners. When in doubt, use Snapshot Grenades, UAVs, and other intel-based Equipment and Killstreaks to help prepare you for engagements around the bend.

New Battle Pass System Content
This Season’s Battle Pass system features Shadow Company themed gear and goods, including two Operators from the elite PMC. At Tier 0 (instant unlock) get Marcus “Lerch” Ortega, the leader of the Shadow Company and at Tier 100, unlock Roze (formerly Jackals). Other Battle Pass system highlights include Wartracks, a new customization item so players can listen specific songs (unlock three wartracks at Tier 0) in vehicles, and two new earnable weapons:

Earn Two Free Weapons
Add the ISO SMG (Tier 15) and the AN-94 assault rifle (Tier 31) to your arsenal by simply playing the game.

ISO SMG - Lightweight, reliable and compact, this SMG is designed to control the battlefield at close ranges.

AN-94 AR - A cutting edge 5.45x39mm Russian assault rifle with a unique hyperburst feature.

3 Tips for Mastering the ISO and AN-94

ISO Mo(mentum). The ISO SMG shines in close-quarters engagements, especially 1v1 duels. Isolate enemy groups and pick them off one by one.
Two-Tap Attack. The AN-94 fires an initial two-burst volley that leads to sustained automatic fire. Landing those two initial shots can mean the difference between victory and defeat, so make them count.
Maximize Potential with the Gunsmith. As you level up these weapons, you’ll find a bevy of attachments to use. Experimentation is key.
