Off-Meta Report - July 10, 2018

Looking for a change of pace on the ladder? Maybe you’ve been wanting to try something new, but don’t know where to start. Or maybe you want to play a class you haven’t really tried out before. If you’ve been looking for something different, take a look at our Off-Meta Report and really shake things up with these decks, all of which have been making waves in the rank of Legend!

To find these decks, we looked for players that have been doing well, and picked out some builds from amongst the top performers. We only selected decks that were played in 50 or more games at Legend level.

Burst Druid - 66.1% win rate/56 games

Working its way through Legend on the KR & TW server, this unique build of Midrange Druid takes a more aggressive approach than some of the usual defensive strategies you've probably played against. Utilizing Oaken Summons to recruit minions such as Injured Blademaster or King Mukla, this deck is capable of playing the full power of these minions, with none of the downside of their Battlecry effects. Once a board is established, this Druid can work to close out the game with some surprise burst from Druid of the Claw, Leeroy Jenkins and Savage Roar.

Miracle Priest - 63.0% win rate/54 games

From the NA server, we have a Priest deck that takes advantage of a combo players have been using since the release of Hearthstone; Inner Fire and Divine Spirit. Witchwood Piper allows you to pull out early game threats, while Radiant Elementals pair with Lyra, the Sunshard to set up your “Miracle chain” and fill your hand with all kinds of tricks. Then, look to surprise the opponent with a charging Stormwind Knight that has had its attack increased through health buffs and Inner Fire.

Odd Warrior - 65.2% win rate/69 games

From EU, we have a nod to old school Control Warriors with this Odd Warrior build. Kicking off the match with a Baku the Mooneater activation, the benefit of ‘Tank Up!’ helps to outlast your opponents and wear them down with added value from Stonehill Defender, Direhorn Hatchlings and Elise the Trailblazer!
