Overwatch World Cup Opening Week Ends Tonight!

The Overwatch World Cup Opening Week comes to a close tonight and only eight out of sixteen teams will remain. While Germany is already out of the running and France is on the ropes all other European teams (Finland, Spain, Sweden, and Russia) have secured their slots in the top 8 and will be fighting to maintain their perfect records, and team morale, as they move on to BlizzCon.

Tonight's European Match-Ups

Sweden and Spain will face off in Group A this evening. Both teams have already qualified for the top 8, but only one can continue to BlizzCon undefeated.

In Group B, Russia puts their perfect record on the line against the unbeaten USA. Which team will suffer its first loss of the tournament?

It’s a similar story in Group C, as the undefeated Finland and South Korea face off.

Group D promises to have one of the most interesting match-ups of the evening, as France battles it out against the undefeated Chinese team in hopes of securing their slot at BlizzCon. This will also hinge upon the outcome of the Thailand vs Singapore match-up, where Thailand will also be hoping to secure the last qualifying slot from Group D.
