Blizzard Celebrates National Take Your Dog to Work Day
Happy pets make happy humans, and Blizzard cultivates a pet-friendly work environment where our animal companions can accompany us on our quest to create the most epic entertainment experiences, ever. In the spirit of celebrating our canine comrades, we recently pulled out all the stops for National Take Your Dog to Work Day.
Blizzard’s Global Rewards team put together a pet fair to celebrate this special day (and to give us another reason to get out and hug some dogs). Many faithful pets know Blizzard Campus as their second home, often accompanying their owners every day and quickly finding themselves adopted by their teams at large. It’s not uncommon to bump into half a dozen pets or more during a normal work day, especially if you’re hustling between buildings!
For one day, the main campus at Blizzard Irvine turned into a proper little street fair for dogs, offering a raffle, as well as free pet gifts and treats, including:
- Free Starbucks Puppuccinos (treat-topped dog friendly whip) which turned out to be a hilarious spectator attraction;
- free Horde and Alliance faction pet tags with a custom engraving;
- Blizzard pet insurance benefits with free on-site quotes and a veterinarian fielding general pet medical questions; and
- local animal rescue staff providing more information and resources on pet adoption.
One more exciting perk for pet owners is the upcoming Blizzard Barking Lot! (Yes, that’s what we’re calling it.) The Barking Lot will be a place for employees to park their dogs while they’re grabbing coffee, food, or a package from shipping.
It was great meeting the dozens and dozens of pups who came by from across the studio. Check out our collection of pictures of the lovable dogs and their owners!
And coming soon, the Blizzard Barking Lot! No kidding. "A place to legally park your dog temporarily while you’re grabbing coffee, food, or a package from shipping." No word yet on if we're hiring Barking Lot Attendants...
Overall, dozens and dozens of pups came by from across the studio. We gathered up some pictures of the lovable dogs and their owners and we hope you enjoy them!
