Returning Events

Shady Stock

Yakin has once again come into possession of some liberated merchandise, likely plucked from a far-away excavation. His Shady Stock is in high demand and will be available to peruse from November 25, 3 a.m.–December 2, 3 a.m. server time, or until Westmarch’s guards raid his supply. For more information on Shady Stock, please see this article.

Fractured Plane

In a place like Sanctuary, even those with the utmost mental fortitude can find themselves lost to the unrelenting darkness spread by the Burning Hells. Broken. Shattered. Trapped in the deepest recesses of their mind. Entering the Fractured Plane is the only way forward. This event will run from November 24, 3 a.m.–December 1, 3 a.m. server time. For more information about the Fractured Plane event, please visit this article.

Alley of Blood

Quarreling forces threaten to desecrate hallowed grounds, marking a point in the conflict between the forces of Shadows and Immortals. Demolish opposing Sentry Towers and dismantle the enemy team’s base of operations by shattering their Crystal Heart. Imbue your adventurer with Specialist Skills for a tactical advantage, and guard and bolster your Champion’s Marks to claim the day. From December 1, 3a.m.—December 8 3a.m. server time, fight alongside Sacred Guardians in the Alley of Blood.

Trial of the Hordes

You may be experienced, but emerging victorious from the Trial of the Hordes is the true mark of a champion. From December 8, 3a.m.—December 15, 3 a.m. go head-to-head against another player while earning rewards and climbing your way through the event’s Ranks. Each player has an enclosed lane in which broods of demons will flood in waves—your goal is to cull the demons from Hell with steadfast dedication. For more information about this event, visit this article.

Into the Dark Wood

In Sanctuary, few are capable enough to stand against the darkness and wager their life for the defenseless. But you, adventurer, have consigned your days to thinning out the ranks of the Burning Hells, ushering in safety where all hope was once lost. The downtrodden look up to you, and to continue serving them, you must travel into the unknown, Into the Dark Wood.

Developer’s Note: For this return of the Into the Dark Wood and All Clans on Deck events, we have adjusted the length of the event to 7 days to help players more easily track the timing of the event, alongside ensuring there is a solid variety of events for all players to dive into.

From December 2, 3 a.m.–December 9 at 3 a.m. server time, completing daily Into the Dark Wood tasks will unlock various milestone rewards for your heroics, such as:

  • Complete 3 tasks: 1 random Legendary Item
  • Complete 5 tasks: 3 Rare Crests
  • Complete 7 tasks: 1 Telluric Pearl
  • Complete 8 tasks: 1 Legendary Crest

All Clans on Deck

The armies of the Burning Hells are mustering their forces for a ploy, most assuredly of nefarious intent. You must rally your banner, adventurer—call upon your Clan for aid to beat back the tide of darkness! From December 9, 3 a.m.–December 16, 3 a.m. server time, Sanctuary will need All Clans on Deck. Feature Updates

Oceanic Server Matchmaking Queue Improvements for Battlegrounds

To improve matchmaking in Battlegrounds for Servers in the Oceanic regions, we are making several changes to allow players to join the fight more easily. Oceanic regions will stagger when Battlegrounds begins to capture a greater amount of players. When Battlegrounds starts at UTC+11, the start time will delay by 2 hours. When Battlegrounds start at UTC+10 it will delay by 1 hour.

Additionally, Oceanic, Korean, and Japanese based players will now be able to matchmake together.

Battlegrounds Rewards Changes

Players will now receive rewards from participating in Battlefield matches beyond the first 3 per day to better recognize your vigilant efforts in combat.

Battleground Resonance Adjustments

We are making further adjustments to matchmaking in Battlegrounds to facilitate better matchmaking between players of similar power levels. We'll achieve this in a couple of different ways.

After Legendary rank, we are reducing the importance that resonance has when matchmaking. Once you’ve reached the Legendary rank, you’ll still be able to match with players that have high resonance but it will be weighted less and eventually ignored once you’re a high enough power level.

Additionally, once a match is found, Armor and Armor Penetration values will be considered for which team players are assigned to.

Battlegrounds Server Merge Improvements

To help reduce matchmaking queues and facilitate players playing together across different servers, we have merged multiple servers and allowed players to play across servers.

Region-specific Game Additions

Improved Jump Skill Functionality

Previously, we have released some features and feature updates at different intervals for the version of Immortal available in China and the version available for all other regions. The following changes are soon to be implemented in China for Diablo Immortal.

Several player skills that allow players to leap to new heights have also unintentionally allowed them to leap into unintended areas in Sanctuary, pushing past specific boundaries and disregarding some obstacles. The functionality for boundaries in game will be adjusted so these jumping skills can better avoid obstacles, improving skill functionality while also allowing traversal across the map.

Currently, we don’t have a firm date as to when these changes will be available in all other regions but we'll keep you updated.
