Battle for Azeroth Season 3 Has Begun!

Blizzard Entertainment

Battle for Azeroth Season 3 brings new challenges with the opening of Mythic Operation: Mechagon, a new affix in Mythic Keystone Dungeons, and more PvP action.

New Dungeon: Operation: Mechagon

In this new 8-boss “mega-dungeon,” level 120 players will unite with Prince Erazmin and the Rustbolt Resistance to help overthrow the prince’s deranged father and destroy his Mechoriginator doomsday device. Great rewards await you, but bear in mind that gnome-crafted loot might have some surprising properties. . . .  [Learn more]

Mythic Keystone Dungeons Season 3

The new Mythic Keystone dungeon season is now available with opportunities for new rewards and an all-new challenge in the form of a new seasonal affix: Beguiling. Queen Azshara’s agents have infiltrated dungeons to strike down Azeroth’s champions when they least expect it. Three different emissaries will bolster the enemy’s ranks; they’ll prove to be deadly adversaries, so make them priority targets. They’ll also disrupt patrolling units, who will stop to pay them tribute. Visiting emissaries can change every week, so stay on your toes!

Reward Updates

Item levels of rewards from level 120 Normal, Heroic, and Mythic dungeons have been increased by 30. Baseline rewards are now item-level 370 from Normal, 385 from Heroic, and 400 from non-Keystone Mythic dungeons. During the first week of Season 3, rewards from end-of-run chests will be capped at item-level 415 for Mythic Keystone at +6 difficulty, and the reward cache will contain a Season 2 reward. With the start of the second week of Season 3, the weekly cache will not be affected by the cap, and will reward Season 3 items at higher item levels.

PvP Season 3

Season 3 brings a wave of new player-versus-player content. Get ready to raze the enemy faction in the Ashran Epic Battleground, and take on all comers in a new Mechagon-themed Arena. Participants can earn two new Vicious Basilisk mounts, and the highest-rated players will unlock new Notorious Gladiator mounts.

Reward Updates

The Quartermaster’s system has been revamped for Season 3 and now awards an upgrade token equivalent to the weekly PvP chest instead of equivalent to end-of-match reward. Completing the weekly Quartermaster’s Bounty quest by trading in Quartermaster’s Prize items will award a Warlord’s Trophy. Players can begin receiving Quartermaster’s Prize items from their Conquest schedule rewards, Call to Arms quests, and from the weekly Nazjatar world PvP event World Quest. Bonus Rolls will no longer grant a Quartermaster’s token, and players who still have Quartermaster’s Coins from the end of Season 2 will be able to sell these for 50 gold each.

Item level rewards in Random Battlegrounds have also been increased by 30. During the first week of Season 3, end-of-match rewards will be capped at item-level 415. This will require Challenger rank to earn. Beginning in week 2, Challenger rank rewards will be item-level 420.
