StarCraft: Remastered

Feature Preview: Chat

Feature Preview: Chat

Chat Channels have been a core part of the StarCraft experience since 1998, and starting this summer, we’re making them even better! StarCraft: Remastered will allow you to access multiple Chat Channels—from more places throughout the game—without changing the classic functionality that you know and love.

Persistent Chat: remain in the same channel no matter where you go in the menus. Continue conversations even when searching for a Lobby to join!

In addition to classic chat commands and functionality, StarCraft: Remastered connects to your Blizzard Friends list, making it easier to find and join games with your friends.

Modern resolutions offer more space for Chat. We’re also adding increased color variety, and better support for global keyboards and languages.

    What's Playing: Early August

Lena Oxton, or Tracer to her Overwatch teammates, has the nifty ability to skip backwards through time. This is useful in a firefight, but being able to flit back in time is even better when there’s so much to play and your calendar is full. We can’t all be like Tracer, but we can help tame the timestream by taking a high-level look at what’s ahead.
