HCT Oakland: Join the Golden State Card-Slingers

An all-new Esports Arena in Oakland, California will play host to the next Tour Stop on the Hearthstone Championship Tour (HCT)! This Grand Prix-style Tour Stop runs July 14 and 15, with 256 competitors vying for their share of a $15,000 USD prize pool and 191 Hearthstone Competitive Points (CP).

HCT Oakland also includes a full Fireside Gathering featuring side tournaments! Spend the weekend at Esports Arena taking advantage of their full café and bar as the action unfolds.

Tournament Information

HCT Oakland will run nine rounds of Swiss for the 256 attending players, from which the top eight players will advance to a single elimination playoff. Matches are best-of-five in Conquest format with a single ban. Deck lists will be open, with the tournament administrated on smash.gg. All games will be played on the Americas server, and all tournament rounds will be streamed. HCT Oakland is a bring-your-own-device tournament.

Registration for HCT Oakland will be run through Matcherino, with pass sales ceasing on July 12 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.

Schedule

HCT Oakland will take place on Saturday, July 14 and Sunday, July 15 as follows:

  • July 14: Swiss rounds 1-6, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PDT
  • July 15: Swiss rounds 7-9, 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. PDT
  • July 15: Playoffs, 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. PDT

What is the format for all matches in HCT Oakland?

All matches will be best-of-five in Conquest format with one ban. Each player will bring four decks.

Can I play with an account that is not mine?

All participating players must be the legal owners of their Hearthstone accounts. Players found to not be in ownership of the account they are using to play will be disqualified immediately.
