The Hearthstone Collegiate National Championship has come and gone, and the champions have been crowned. Eight teams (consisting of three players each) squared off at the esports arena in Santa Ana, California, for their share of more than $160,000 in scholarships and prizes. 

Hearthstone Collegiate National Championship

After two thrilling days of Hearthstone, one school's team has emerged as champions. Rutgers University's team, Scarlet Crusaders, overcame Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal to walk away with $10,000 USD each in scholarships and the rights to call themselves "Nation Champions".

Though only one team took home the title, none of these amazing players walked away empty handed. 

1st - $10,000 USD in Scholarships per player

2nd - $6,000 USD in Scholarships per player

• Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal 

3rd/4th - $3,000 USD in Scholarships per player

• Shawnee State University
• The University of Texas San Antonio

5th/8th - $1,600 USD in Scholarships per player

• University of California - Berkeley
• University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill
• Colorado State University
• University of California - Riverside
