Warzone Wednesday, July 7 — Five Tips and a Tour of Promenade East
Welcome to the Warzone.
Every Wednesday is Warzone Wednesday here on the Call of Duty blog. This weekly column — and, by extension, the Official Warzone Strategy Guide — will help you become one of the most elite Operators in the world.
The strategy guide is fully updated for Verdansk ’84, and to help you digest its 230,000+ words of wisdom, we’re breaking down a fresh Point of Interest and providing five tips straight from the guide. We’ll keep you informed of future Warzone™ updates, too.
Now let’s get moving. Here’s Warzone Wednesday Week 11:
Point of Interest of the Week: Promenade East — Car Showroom, Public House
Following our analysis of Central Square Park in Barakett Promenade West, we’re moving to the eastern promenade, close to the West Bridge leading into the Downtown Tavorsk District.
Filled with apartment buildings, a high school, fairgrounds, and other residential and commercial features, Promenade East makes for a perfect ambush point against enemy Operators coming into and leaving downtown. At the center of it lies the Car Showroom and Public House. Let’s take a closer look:
Car Showroom, Public House Overview—Φ/Λ: E/7 (Center-North). The north-center of the Promenade area has two main structures: a Car Showroom and a Public House. Behind the Showroom is a small garage and woods.
Sidewalk: On the pavement by the parked bus at the road junction, in front of the Showroom, is an orange tent, a small Market hut, and a Laundry. The last small store is a Coffee Shop by the next road junction, close to a metal billboard.
Car Showroom: Dominating this part of the Promenade is a modern glass structure — a GRZ car dealership. Expect a vehicle to be parked inside the Showroom.
Car Showroom (Exterior): The Showroom itself has numerous entry points: There are four open entrances at the front forecourt (south). There is a ground-level entrance (metal door) on the west wall, near an adjacent ladder that allows access to a lower roof balcony and a wall of windows (upper west wall), enabling access into the Showroom.
A second ladder enables roof access. Along the north wall are two windows, which you can fire from but not move through. In the northeast corner is a metal door entrance. Finally, along the east wall are upper windows, accessible from the interior balcony.
Car Showroom (Interior 1F): The Showroom is open-plan with a main tile-floored area (in an interesting color), reception desk, and delivery area (empty) to the east. Between the Showroom and delivery area is an open stairwell. There’s a second stairwell with more cover in the northwest corner of the building, adjacent to a break room and restroom corridor (north wall).
Car Showroom (Interior 2F): The upper floor is visible to the ground area and most of the vicinity thanks to the tinted windows on most walls. Along the north wall is the stairwell (northwest), three offices (1, 2, 3), and a small L-shaped maintenance corridor with a ladder to the roof (northeast). Across a skybridge are cubicle areas (2, 3) and sofas overlooking the front forecourt. Windows are everywhere, so expect them to shatter. Enemies can be spotted across the forecourt, near the apartments, and around the vicinity.
Car Showroom (Roof): The roof is accessible by ladder (southwest exterior and northeast interior), helicopter, or parachute. Note the gantry and open roof shutters allowing you to fire down on foes.
Public House (Exterior): This two-floor pub is adjacent to the Car Showroom (with the yellow arched windows and a sign that translates to Sergio’s Restaurant Bar and Grill). Enter via the pub door (southeast) or the metal door to the kitchens (northwest).
Public House (Interior 1F, 2F, Roof): Inside is a wooden L-shaped bar, a number of booths, and open access to the kitchens and two small restrooms. Climb the stairs to the second-floor restaurant area, which has a long bar, two rooms of booth seating, and a door at each corner leading to the exterior balconies, one of which has a roof ladder.

Top Five Tips of the Week:
In this week’s Warzone Wednesday, we’re discussing one of the most important items in your kit – the parachute – in addition to our Point of Interest of the week. Get tips on making the most out of this essential tool to outplay your opponents and navigate the map, including the Promenade, like a champ.
Tip #006 — Don’t Be Afraid of Heights
Welcome to the Warzone: Basic Training / Movement
Parachuting during a Warzone match can allow you to cover ground quickly or take massive drops without fear of death. Whether you‘re on top of the Dam, a skyscraper, or a broadcast tower, don’t be afraid to take the plunge, open the chute, and soar through the air.
Tip #098 — High Altitude, High Opening (HIHO) Drops for Distance…
Infil: Tactics in the Warzone / Parachuting
Opening a parachute at a high altitude may not get you to the ground quickly, but it’s a fantastic tactic for covering great distances and for getting to where you may think other Operators are heading.
Tip #099 — … High Altitude, Low Opening (HILO) Drops for Speed
Infil: Tactics in the Warzone / Parachuting
If getting to the ground as quickly as possible is important — for example, you want to beat enemies to an item drop or a team firefight is happening — try pointing your Operator down to the ground during a free fall and deploying your parachute at a lower altitude.
Tip #237 — Urban Warfare
Atlas / Verdansk: Southwest / Barakett Promenade East
Barakett Promenade East boasts double-digit Points of Interest that add up to over 20 buildings with interior spaces. When exploring here, it may be wise to find a secondary weapon that’s built for close-quarter engagements, which are typical when fighting in building interiors.
Tip #239 — Don’t Look Down
Atlas / Verdansk: Southwest / Barakett Promenade East
If you can grab a helicopter after building a Sniper loadout, you could parachute down to the tallest gondola in the Ferris Wheel, which provides incredible views of the Promenade, Downtown, Tavorsk Park, and the Hospital. Just be sure to pack a Self-Revive Kit when taking a ride on the Ferris Wheel, because if you go down, your squad may not be able to reach you for a revive.
We’ll see you online.
