Introducing Naga: A brutal ex-warlord in the service of Perseus

By: David Hodgson

A former warlord who grew rich trafficking drugs and weapons through the Golden Triangle, Naga is feared by his men for his temper and brutality. Recruited by Perseus to move weapons of mass destruction around the globe using his established narcotics supply lines, Naga thrives on chaos and dominates with ruthlessness.

This is Naga, a new playable Operator available through the Season Two Battle Pass in Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone™, and here’s his story:

Full Name: Kapano “Naga” Vang

Date of Birth: 05/29/1950

Place of Birth: Thakhek

Nationality: Lao

Faction: Warsaw Pact

Blood Type: O+

First Language: Lao

Service: Perseus

A Brutal, Unstable Lord of Chaos

Working well beyond the rule of law, Naga commands a major narcotics and weapons cartel that operates throughout the Golden Triangle, a remote border area encompassing the mountains and jungles along northwestern Laos.

Naga’s rise to power has been as merciless as the man himself. Employing an iron fist and zero tolerance to any opposition, he eventually led a bloody coup to take control of the cartel. He refers to his men as “temple dogs.” Indeed, the job security and survival of Naga’s lieutenants and subordinates is inexorably tied to their level of sycophantic loyalty. And even that can only go so far, due to Naga’s vindictive nature.

Recently redacted CIA files refer to Naga as a “brutal son of a bitch,” who maintains his position mostly out of fear. A combination of spending too much time in the jungle and “dipping into his own supply” a few too many times hasn’t helped his unstable emotional state.

Despite his madness, Naga is an astute businessman and the true definition of a mercenary. After his recruitment by Perseus, which many of his underlings took to be purely transactional in nature, Naga understood that the promises Perseus made – to destroy the world order – will be exceptionally good for business. Naga’s finances have never been better.

Vicious and Venomous, New Skins Available in the Battle Pass

Vicious and Venomous, New Skins Available in the Battle Pass

Naga is available as an instantly unlockable reward at Tier 0 of the Season Two Battle Pass, and shows off his well-earned reputation for brutality with his first skin – “Viper” – a combat uniform he wears while tracking his eventual prey like the slithering beast whose maw inspires his bandana.

Two Operator Missions are included at Tier 0 – one for Multiplayer and one for Zombies – that offer a total of four additional skins for Naga that each come with a set of four objectives. Complete them all to receive these additional Legendary skins: “Cobalt,” “Ashen Scale,” “Crimson Code,” and “Rattlesnake,” each inspired by another deadly snake as lethal as this ruthless Operator.

For those unlocking Tier 100 of the Season Two Battle Pass, prepare for a war chest of rewards, including three additional Operator skins. Dominate your enemies as a most-wanted “Warlord” with this combination of a ceremonial mask and gold-trimmed leather jacket. Then complete the Operator Mission to reveal a further two skins – the red “River Wraith” and the tiger-inspired “Rare Breed” – as well as other rewards.

Whatever attire you’re clad in as you oversee the destruction of your NATO foes across Multiplayer and Warzone, be sure to grab the Battle Pass when Season Two launches in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone and protect the contraband routes of the Golden Triangle at all costs!

Execute the mission.
