Deploy into the multiplayer Blackout mode

The Heavy Metal Heroes mode features a comic book-inspired visual style, while itse gameplay focuses on thrust jumping, grappling, and vehicle combat. Here are the details:

The Origins of Your Arsenal

All players begin their story in Heavy Metal Heroes with an outfitted Daemon submachine gun, level 2 armor, 10 first aid kits, 5 armor plates, and a backpack. Plus, you can get across the map in a flash with unlimited grapple gun use.

You’ll still need to loot up, but this gives you the ability to hit the ground running… or flying….

With Great Boost Power Comes Great Responsibility

With thrust jumping, you can boost up and over enemies. Thrusting has its limits though, so you’ll only get temporary air.

At the bottom of your HUD, a meter shows the amount of gas left in your jump-tank. After thrusting to maximum height, your jump has to recharge before being used again.

Think Tank

This mode debuts the tank to go alongside Blackout’s existing vehicles for frenzied, high-powered vehicle combat.

The tank is a massive armored vehicle with a large-caliber cannon. One well-placed shot can reduce a smaller vehicle to smithereens or decimate a group of enemies. The tank also has an exterior commander seat where a buddy can sit and provide secondary fire. Any weapon in a player’s arsenal can be used while in this seat.

Now that tanks have been introduced, consider adding a Hellion Salvo Operator launcher to your loadout, as they are specially outfitted to take out armored vehicles.

Flare and Air

If you can’t find a tank, look for a flare gun to have a tank airdropped to your position. Just be mindful that everyone can see the flare and your airdrop, which might make you a target.

Because of the ramps placed on the map, using other vehicles has an added advantage. Rev your vehicle up a ramp to pull stunts, airborne evasive maneuvers, or pummel an opponent in your path.

While driving on ramps can be fun, consider using some caution, as losing control might cost you more than just bumps and bruises....

Down But, Not Out

Heavy Metal Heroes allows players to redeploy at certain points if members of their team are still alive. When you drop back in, you will still receive a starting loadout, but it will decrease in strength each time.

Try to stay alive to build the strength of your arsenal and allow fallen teammates to get back into the fight!
