New Zone Events: Twisting Torments
Nation in Agony Continues
Twin evils are tearing through Lut Gholein, and the darkness at the heart of the city is only beginning to spread. As the story of Nation in Agony continues, you'll uncover new allies, revisit familiar places, and face a threat that reaches far beyond the city's walls.
Discover the High Ward
A new corner of Lut Gholein is about to open its gates. Venture into the High Ward, a once-prosperous district surrounding Sultan Jerhyn's palace, where signs of the city's former splendor now stand in stark contrast to the darkness creeping through its streets. As the battle for the Jewel of the Desert intensifies, a new area awaits exploration.
New Zone Event – Twisting Torments
Twisting Torments is a new zone event set in the Rocky Waste subregion outside Lut Gholein. As Andariel and Duriel battle to see which evil reigns supreme, their hellish influence bleeds into Sanctuary. Minions of Pain and Anguish will swarm to sites of their master's power outside the city and be empowered with new affixes (such as the chains of Anguish and the maggot-spawn of the Pain Burrows) while this event is active. Defeating the empowered minions of Duriel and Andariel will provide increased rewards, including a weekly Legendary equipment drop.
New Legendary Gems
Enigma Latera (5 Star)
Periodically gain Enigma, causing your next Primary Attack to unleash Cruel Enigma that chains through nearby enemies. Cruel Enigma increases the damage you deal to afflicted enemies while also reducing the damage they deal to you, stacking for each beneficial effect they have. Additionally, Cruel Enigma siphons several seconds of one non-Skill beneficial effect from an afflicted enemy and grants you that effect for the same duration.
Resonance Gems: Tundra Blight, Fading Nostrum, Stubborn Oracle, Void Spark, Fated Trail
Prong Crag (2 Star)
While in combat you periodically gain Resolve for several seconds, increasing your damage done when you take damage from a single hit that exceeds a percentage of your maximum Life while also reducing your damage taken from that source, stacking. Additionally, Resolve increases your Critical Resistance.
Resonance Gems: Faltergrasp, Tundra Blight, Rampart Torch
Battleground Updates
Battleground Theme Refresh
The demonic invasion is coming to an end.
With the battlefield no longer under demonic influence, Battlegrounds will return to the familiar Nephalem-themed visual style. Alongside this thematic refresh, we’re making several improvements to combat clarity and the overall Battleground experience based on player feedback.
While the demons may be retreating, not everything from the invasion is going away. Some of the changes players enjoyed will remain as Battlegrounds return to their Nephalem roots.
The Final Guardian buff is basically back to the previous version: defeating the Final Guardian grants the entire team Nephalem Power, allowing them to execute enemies below 20% Life, ignoring Undying, invulnerability, and similar effects.
A Shadow Falls on Sanctuary
This fall, another legendary force emerges from the darkness. Diablo Immortal is joining forces with Spawn, the iconic antihero created by Todd McFarlane, for a limited-time crossover event that brings chains, hellfire, and necroplasmic power into Sanctuary. The line between worlds is beginning to fracture, and a new force is preparing to leave its mark on the Eternal Conflict. Stay tuned for your first look at this dark collaboration and everything it has in store.
The Road Continues
As the battle between Pain and Anguish continues, so does our plans to continue to grow the world of Diablo Immortal.
Following our collab with Spawn, we’ll kick off a little Halloween celebration that will lead into a special 30th Anniversary Event that we’re not quite able to talk about just yet...
Then, the end of the year brings us the culmination of the Nation in Agony quest line, and the final piece of the Lut Gholein Zone, as well as new Helliquary Bosses, and more!
There’s still plenty of secrets to be revealed, so stay tuned!
