Presenting Blizzard Arena Los Angeles

Throughout history, the fields where great sports competitions take place develop a story and history of their own. They become the backdrop for breakthrough moments, heroic triumphs, and deepest heartbreaks. Arenas and stadiums are not just for the players, though. For fans, whether they travel once a season or every week, these locations become a second home. It’s where they meet up with their friends, spend time with their families, and celebrate being part of a larger community with a shared passion.

For the Overwatch League inaugural season, this home will be Blizzard Arena Los Angeles in Burbank, California. While the building once played host to landmark TV programs as part of the legendary Burbank Studios, we've custom-renovated the space for esports events so that pro players and audiences alike can have a great experience. Overwatch League matches will be held in one of the full-service studios with seating for more than 450 people and multiple spectator boxes for special guests. The facility includes convenient practice areas, where teams can warm up before their matches, as well as player lounges and offices.

To ensure Overwatch League fans can have their true colors on display, Blizzard Arena will also house a dedicated Blizzard Gear store on game days, which will stock official Overwatch League merchandise (much of which will also be available to order online at gear.blizzard.com).

Fans will get their first look at the Blizzard Arena on October 7–8, as the Overwatch Contenders Season One Playoffs take center stage. A summer of intense competition in the West will culminate in a live event, where the top four teams from North America and Europe will battle over the biggest slice of a $100,000 USD prize pool per region. Tickets are on sale now at universe.com/overwatchcontenders – if you can't wait to get a taste of the Overwatch League in-person experience, you won't want to miss out on this opportunity.
