Pregame Festivities
Outdoor Plazas
Thursday · 9am–5pm

We’re kicking things off a day early with what we’re calling the BlizzCon Pregame Festivities, a “Welcome to BlizzCon” get-together in the plazas outside the convention center on Thursday, October 31, from 9am to 5pm PDT. This casual gathering will give everyone a place to meet up and hang out with friends, enjoy food and drinks, and do a /readycheck before the main event begins Friday morning. (BlizzCon admission and wristband required.)

A NOTE ABOUT PERSONAL EXPRESSION AT BLIZZCON

BlizzCon has always been a place where we celebrate the passion and diversity of the Blizzard community, where we encourage and support the many creative and thoughtful ways attendees share and reflect their views and interests—and this year will be no different. We welcome open, constructive, and civil discussion of different perspectives at the show, and we also want to make sure everyone’s aware that all attire and cosplay is allowed at BlizzCon as long as it adheres to the long-held standards we’ve laid out for the show each year.

A NOTE ABOUT SECURITY

We also want to reassure everyone that the safety and security of our attendees is a top priority. Every year, we work with local authorities and experienced event security to help keep our players, our employees, and everyone who makes BlizzCon possible safe, and this year is no exception. We strive to ensure our security measures follow best practices for conventions of this nature, while also doing everything we can to prioritize the comfort and convenience of our attendees and create a fun, welcoming environment for everyone.

To that end, we’ve implemented a number of new measures this year to bring our event even more up-to-date, including a modern wristband-based entry system. Based on feedback from last year, we’ve also increased the number of screening stations at our entry checkpoints and updated our screening procedures, all with the goal of getting people into the show and having fun as quickly and safely as possible.

We look forward to seeing everyone at BlizzCon!
