Watch the Opening Ceremony LIVE on Mythic, Overwatch, and Hearthstone Stages

This year, the Opening Ceremony will be presented LIVE on three different stages, with developers on the Mythic Stage, in the Overwatch Arena, and on the Hearthstone Tournament Stage. The presentations will also be simulcast at locations throughout the convention center.

The Opening Ceremony begins at 11am PT on Friday, and you can watch free on www.blizzcon.com/watch.

Four Stages of Game and Community Content

This year’s convention features four stages of game updates, developer discussions, community sessions, and more—and that’s not counting the five esports stages dedicated to the BlizzCon tournament action. Here’s a breakdown of the kind of events you’ll discover on these four stages—head to the schedule for more details.

Mythic Stage (Hall D)

Head to the Mythic stage for this year’s main events—including the Opening Ceremony, the Community Night contests, the closing concert featuring Muse—and major game updates straight from the developers.

Legendary Stage (North Hall, Level 2)
On the Legendary stage, enjoy sessions with your favorite Blizzard voice actors; go behind-the-scenes with the Blizzard Battle.net, cinematics, and sound teams; and get even more in-depth with your favorite games.

Epic Stage (North Hall, Level 2)

The spotlight is on the Blizzard community on the Epic stage! Join your favorite community personalities and content creators for an eclectic mix of events including live podcasts, quiz shows and trivia competitions, in-depth sessions on the art of cosplay and making cool things for a living, and more.

Heroic Stage (Level 2)

Want to learn more about your favorite craft or the myriad facets of game development? The Heroic stage will host a series of fun and informative sessions featuring Blizzard engineers, live art demonstrations, storytellers, game and sound designers, and more.

New & Improved Virtual Ticket Experience

We’ve made some exciting changes to the Virtual Ticket this year to bring even more of the BlizzCon experience home to you.

For starters, all four of the stages above will be streamed live on the Virtual Ticket, while our new BlizzCon All Access channel acts as your tour guide through the show. You can also watch several series of pre-show videos NOW on www.blizzcon.com/watch to get in the BlizzCon spirit.

In addition, VODs of the All Access Channel and the four stages will be available subtitled in English, French, German, Russian, and Korean.

Read the Virtual Ticket announcement blog to learn more.

New North Hall

The Anaheim Convention Center leveled up this year with the addition of a new hall, and BlizzCon is taking it over! The brand-new North Hall features two levels—Level 1 is where where you’ll find the Legendary and Epic stages, along with the Darkmoon Faire. Level 2 is Hearthstone central—that’s where you’ll find the Hearthstone Tavern, Hearthstone tournaments, and Hearthstone demo area.

Diversity Meet-up

We’re excited to introduce a new space at BlizzCon this year that we’re calling the Blizzard Diversity Meet-Up (North Hall, Level 2 by the Darkmoon Faire), a place for all attendees who are interested to join discussions about diversity in gaming and in life. Learn more.
