A Fated Duel: Shattered Sanctuary Main Quest

Shattered Sanctuary is the next chapter in the main quest for Diablo Immortal, available to those who have completed the Crucible of Justice quest. With El'druin, the Sword of Justice, in hand, gather your allies and sail to a ravaged land in the far north. Here, at World's Crown (our largest zone to date), you will face Diablo in a high-stakes duel for the fate of Sanctuary.

But before you can clash against the Lord of Terror, you must first fight through a vicious legion comprised of Terror Demons and Cultists, Shardborne, and The Maddened. The latter, seafarers and seasonal visitors to World’s Crown, were among the first to gaze upon Diablo’s visage and spiral into insanity. Now, they’re indistinguishable from monsters.

If you are unable to hold Terror at bay, all of Sanctuary will be unmade.

Crank Up the Complexity in Challenge Dungeons

Dungeons just became more rewarding…and dangerous. Shattered Sanctuary introduces boosted versions called Challenge Dungeons, which are higher-difficulty versions of all Diablo Immortal's existing dungeons. When you begin a Challenge Dungeon, you'll be assigned 1-2 random dungeon modifiers, such as pools of magma, increased monster speed, or bonus globe drops. Your first Challenge Dungeon completed each week will provide a chest with a guaranteed Set Item, and all challenge runs will have a higher chance of dropping potent rewards.

Meet Your Next Nightmare: Dreadbirth Helliquary Bosses

Some of the Lord of Terror’s strongest allies have reared their abhorrent heads in Sanctuary. Rayek will need your help more than ever to return these abominations to the crevices they crawled out of. Gather your allies and prepare to unlock 3 new Inferno difficulties and various helpful rewards for slaying the Dreadbirth Helliquary Bosses. Here’s a look at who these harbingers of Hell are:

Vogmarik the Tormentor

Human skulls and angelic armor – these are a few of Vogmarik’s favorite things. The demon stalks and tortures any human and angel unfortunate enough to enter his lair. Broken bones and cracked chest plates are kept for his coveted collection, while superfluous flesh is tossed to the maggots. But while Vogmarik enjoys ccollecting trophies from his victim’s bodies, nothing compares to the thrill of the hunt.

Defeating Morsagurei the Fisher’s Ruin from the last group of Helliquary Bosses unlocks Inferno IV. Defeating Vogmarik unlocks Inferno V.

Mulgaist the Molten

The demon Mulgaist resides deep within an enormous volcano, slithering underneath a lake of lava. As of yet, no one has gotten close enough to the volcano to witness Mulgaist in its entirety, but their presence is made painfully aware through the plumes of magma that erupt from the volcano’s maw. Villages surrounding the volcano hold charred bodies frozen in time, their hands held high in disbelief as Mulgaist set fire to the rain.

Defeating Mulgaist unlocks Inferno VI.

Deosbrae, Sovereign Shade

Deosbrae was young when the first shadow fell on Sanctuary. She lurks within the bowels of the earth, birthing abominations of night to infest the lands. Her children roam all of Sanctuary in search of prey, carrying Deosbrae’s message far and wide with every kill: Darkness is as inevitable as death.

Harness the Power of New Legendary Gems

Three new Legendary Gems are coming in this update. Each can elevate your character to new heights of power. The below values for each gem reflect their power at Rank 10:

Golden Firmament (Five-Star Gem): Dealing damage grants you Ascendance for 6 seconds, increasing your Evasion Rating by 12% and causing you to unleash 3 blasts of wind at random nearby enemies every second, dealing 110% base damage + 486 to enemies they hit. Enemies struck by multiple blasts take 75% reduced damage from subsequent hits. Cannot occur more often than once every 20 seconds.

Mercy’s Harvest (Two-Star Gem): Damaging enemies below 30% Life conjures a scythe wielding reaper to cleave through nearby enemies, dealing 145% base damage + 587 to enemies within the area. Additionally, enemies slain by the reaper increase your damage done by 2% for 30 seconds, stacking up to 6 times. Cannot occur more often than once every 6 seconds.

Havoc Bearer (One-Star Gem): Using a Dash skill increases your damage by 18% and your Attack Speed by 4% for 2 seconds. Cannot occur more often than once every 6 seconds.

Modify Your Drop Table

From December 13, 3 a.m.–January 8, 2025, 3:00 a.m. server time, players will have the option to enable a modified drop table for their Legendary Crests when running Elder Rifts. Once enabled, whenever you receive a Five-Star Legendary Gem as a drop, there’s a 50% chance it will be Golden Firmament.

The Eternal War Rages On

The Lich King balls his fist, and a sharp pain engulfs your body in incomprehensible agony—your muscles succumb and lock in place. As you become slowly aware of what is happening, your eyes roll back into your head as your thoughts race, then suddenly drone into dull nothingness.
Now, only one request fills your mind…his.

By decree of the Lich King, the Eternal War, Fallen Citadel dungeon, Cutthroat Basin, and Mourneskull Legendary Gem elements of the Eternal War event will now run until December 31. This means you have additional time to earn Eternal War rewards, issue a challenge against the Lord of the Scourge, and log into Diablo Immortal on a Level 10 or higher character to earn a Treasure Nabbin’ Bag cosmetic in World of Warcraft: The War Within.
